The 2010s served us loads of amazing songs and this is a compilation of the most memorable 100 Nigerian songs of the decade with 10 songs from each year (2010 to 2019) based of when the song/video was released, and selected off stats from all music streaming platforms, blogs, artist popularity, awards, media coverage and a few personal opinions
We all know these songs, and just seeing and hearing them play will give us a fair share of nostalgia.
The sounds in this decade have definitely redefined and positioned Nigerian music globally and brought with it the emergence of Afrobeats.
The artists and producers served us music that didn’t compare with anything we had ever heard before.
There shouldn’t be a song on this list that you haven’t heard of and if that is the case, then you have been sitting down on a longggg thing cos I’m pretty sure that even Musa for gate heard these songs all the time on his transistor radio
I wanted to do a video that really encompassed the music in this decade in no particular ranking. So sit back relax, enjoy, comment and share cos this is a journey into sound of the 2010s
