It has now been six year since we first heard her voice on the debut track – Atobiju. Her unique voice stopped us in our tracks and had us wonder at it – the voice neither broke when she stretched to hit the highest of notes nor did it weaken when she ran downward scales to land on very deep notes. At the time, IBK was a revelation and since then, gospel music lovers have gone ahead to enjoy her verses and hooks on several of Tim Godfrey’s hits.
IBK is indeed a sensational singer and just as interesting as her voice, are her spirit edifying lyrics. In April 2019, she released her debut single titled “Iyanu”. In this beautiful song – which is most likely on your playlist at the moment, she brought to the fore the wonderous works and the unpredictability of His ways. According to her, God is unfathomable, His power is undeniable, and His ways are unimaginable!
Her budding fanbase have indeed waited long for her to bless our souls with an album and finally, the wait is over. Since the year started, fans have been teased with several posts that hinted at a live recording and album release concert, and finally it is only a few days away.
ON MARCH 8, 2020, IBK WILL BE LAUNCHING HER DEBUT ALBUM “ABBA” AT PLOT 22, PROVIDENCE ROAD, LEKKI PHASE 1, LAGOS – it’s definitely going to be an evening of great encounter with the Lord. I personally cannot wait to listen to her songs and sing along as they have always sufficed as healing balms and medicine for the soul.
Also performing at the memorable event are popular gospel music maestro – Tim Godfrey, alongside, Frank Edwards, Eben, Enkay, Larry J, Okeysokay, Sac, Blessyn and other talented gospel artistes.
IBK Live in Concert is definitely the best place to be on Sunday, March 8, 2020. Interestingly, worshippers do not need to worry about racking up funds to attend this event because entry in 100% FREE. Yes, FREE!
Her most recent single “Aliwileshe” was released on the 18th of February 2020 to our delight and is currently ranked No.1 on Xclusivegospel’s song of the week. Alewileshe is a worship song that rises slowly into mid-tempo with a guitar fusion and a pop beat. The song is fast-becoming a constant melody on the lips of many gospel lovers and we will surely be listening to more of such songs at the concert.
IBK always brings a dynamic energy on stage and creates a wonderful atmosphere of worship with her beautiful songs. We hope to see it and even more on Sunday, March 8 as she launches Abba.
